ChatGPT Alternatives: Other AI Options for Chatting

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence platform that allows you to chat with a bot capable of answering your questions and generating conversations. However, if for some reason you cannot use ChatGPT or simply want to try something different, there are other alternatives that may interest you. Here are some of them:

Taskade

Taskade is a cross-platform application that allows you to take notes, make lists, and chat with an artificial intelligence. Although its main focus is not on chatbot, it can be a good option if you need a multipurpose tool.

Telegram Bots

Telegram is a messaging application that has a wide variety of bots, including some based on artificial intelligence. Here are some of the best: These bots can be a good option if you are looking for something simple and fast.

BING

BING is a search engine developed by Microsoft that has an artificial intelligence-based chatbot, and the interesting thing is that it can search the internet and consult updated information. It can be a good option if you prefer a more established platform.

Although we have not yet tried the Android app, we have tried it in web mode, and it can only be used with the Microsoft Edge browser.

However, there are some extensions for Firefox and Chrome, as well as some tricks that allow you to use it on other browsers. Before trying any of these, delete cookies and any browser data that Bing.com may have saved as it is the same for them to work.

Forefront.ai

The brilliance of Forefront.ai lies in the fact that, just like Bing, it utilizes the advanced GPT-4 model to deliver accurate and effective results. Moreover, it does not impose any limitations on the number of messages that can be sent, making it an incredibly useful and versatile tool.

POE

POE  is a chatbot application by Quora en association with OpenIA. Currently, it is only available for iOS and Web.

Special Mentions: Other AI Alternatives for Chatting

In the paragraphs above, we mentioned some alternatives that I have tried, among others that have caught my attention are:

Jasper Chat

It is another tool that leverages GPT-3 to offer similar functions to the OpenAI chatbot

Bloom

It is an open-source proposal that has been developed by a large number of experts in artificial intelligence. Its developers claim that it can generate "coherent text" in 46 languages and 13 programming languages, although downloading and configuring it can be a problem for those who do not have advanced knowledge in the field.

ChatSonic

Probably ChatGPT's most potent rival. Its creators claim that the AI is like the OpenAI chatbot, but with "superpowers". It not only answers questions or writes texts for users but also generates images, taking advantage of DALL-E and Stable Diffusion.

ChatSonic is connected to the internet permanently. That is, it can access real-time information, so its responses will always be up-to-date. Additionally, it allows the use of voice commands, so we don't necessarily have to write what we want to ask the AI. Finally, the artificial intelligence allows choosing between "profiles," which are like "personalities," so that we interact.

Perplexity AI

While this one doesn't create text like ChatGPT, it does allow us to find information quickly and accurately. In addition, the results page shows which pages the information was taken from and allows us to access it with just one click.

Moreover, if you don't know how to get started, Perplexity AI shows us some popular topics at the moment. And, if that wasn't enough, it also has a section called Bird SQL, which allows us to search for anything on Twitter, showing the list with the link directly to the tweet. However, this function is still in beta, so it needs some adjustments to be 100% operational.
